New documents have emerged showing Charles Morgan was sacked from Morgan Motor Company due to four counts of alleged misconduct. In a board meeting earlier this year – held while then company strategy director Morgan was away on leave due to health problems – Morgan Motor Company executives determined that Charles Morgan had posed as company chairman, despite his demotion back in February 2013.
The Porsche 918 Spyder specification have been revealed
Porsche has tried to keep weight in check on the 918 Spyder, but having a big, heavy electric hybrid setup on board hasn’t made that easy, and nor has making that setup 4WD. So Porsche has built the monocoque chassis from carbon fibre reinforced polymer to keep weight in check, despite which the 918 Spyder still comes in at a weighty 1640kg, even in ‘Weissach’ trim (more in standard guise). So Poprsche has had to be clever about the way they use the power they have on offer.
Former General Motors CEO Robert Stempel, who led the automaker during a turbulent period of recession and restructuring in the early 1990s, has died at the age of 77. "Bob was a very popular chairman with employees, and his many accomplishments as a visionary engineer included leading the development of the catalytic converter, one of the great environmental advancements in auto history," GM said in a statement. "His knowledge of battery development led to the push for the EV1 electric car, and Bob continued to build his expertise in the electrification of the automobile after he left GM in 1992."
Stempel died Saturday in Florida, the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press reported Monday night.
